Today is Maundy Thursday, which literally translates to “Commandment Thursday.” This is the day that Jesus gathered with his closest disciples in the upper room to celebrate the Passover. During this meal, Jesus washed his disciples feet and gave them a new commandment to “love one another.” After dinner, they journeyed to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray before Jesus was subsequently arrested, tried as a political prisoner, and crucified.
But, that’s not the end of the story! Death could not contain Jesus. He rose from the dead and lives among us…lives in and through us…still today!
Join us this evening at 7:00pm in the sanctuary for our Maundy Thursday service as we journey from the scene of the upper room to the cross. Or, you can join us for our Maundy Thursday service via livestream by clicking the following link: MAUNDY THURSDAY LIVESTREAM
