Services Every Sunday 10:00 am

May 6th – Scottish Communion Worship Service

This year, our Scottish Communion Service will take place on Sunday, May 6th. Just as we do each year, we will have a bagpiper and drummer to assist in leading worship. We will honor our Scots/Irish roots and enjoy the music of our Presbyterian ancestors. Feel free to wear any particular family tartan, and if you’re brave enough, wear your kilt. Pastor Kris will be sporting his. And, this year Pastor Kris’ son, Alexander, has a kilt that matches his.

Bakers Needed for Scottish Communion Sunday
We are asking for shortbread cookies for Fellowship Time after Scottish Communion on May 6th. You are welcome to use your own recipe or the one below.

Shortbread Cookies
Cream 1 cup of butter and ½ cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in 2 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour. Chill several hours. Divide in half. On a floured surface, roll ¼ to ½ inch thick. Cut in 2 x ½ inch strips. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300° about 30 minutes. Cool slightly, remove. Makes 3 ½ dozen cookies.
