Mission Partners

The Mission Team at PCDR aims to lift up people in need by addressing key problems. This includes our brothers in sisters of our church family, our community, our country and around the world. Among our specific goals are to provide food, housing, clothing, education and spiritual and emotional support, and to be good stewards of our planet. We are active in many “hands on” projects such as local projects, Community Dinners, and participation in mission trips as well as providing financial support to organizations that share our vision.

Mission Partners include:
Habitat for Humanity – Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Habitat believes affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.

Caring for Friends – The mission of Caring for Friends is to support isolated, homebound individuals, particularly the elderly, maintain their independence in their own homes while improving their health and quality of life in the 5-county Philadelphia region through weekly visits from volunteers, home-cooked meals, and outreach services, free of charge.

Discovery Service Projects – Discovery Service Projects builds and refurbishes structures to improve people’s lives, health, and safety in the U.S. and developing countries. DSP has worked in 11 countries since 1987. International projects focus on building community centers, hurricane proof homes, churches, schools, and clinics. Each year Discovery Service Projects does home repairs in the U.S., mostly in response to natural disasters.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance – When natural or human-caused disasters impact communities, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is poised to respond and work closely with congregations and local mission partners to bring Christ’s love and healing. PDA is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The core budget, including staff and administrative costs, is funded through the One Great Hour of Sharing, and its program work is additionally funded through designated gifts.

Bucks County Opportunity Council – The mission of Bucks County Opportunity Council is to help low-income people of Bucks County achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency for them and their families.

Pennridge FISH – Pennridge FISH (Fellowship in Serving Humanity) serves low-income households with food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance in an effort to assist in the alleviation of hunger, poverty, and homelessness in the Pennridge School District.
