Planning a Visit?
Presbyterian Church of Deep Run is located at the corners of Elephant Rd, Irish Meetinghouse Rd and Route 113. Inside the traditional sanctuary, you will find a friendly, welcoming congregation. Here’s what to expect when you visit.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking available in the parking lot around the church. Enter the lot off of Route 113 and come in to the church via the doors under the portico. One of our friendly greeters will provide you with a bulletin and help you into the sanctuary. Many people prefer to park on the other side of the church entering from Irish Meetinghouse Rd. Enter the double doors at the bottom and follow the signs to the left and down the hall to stairs that take you up to the main sanctuary. Elevators are located on this floor and can also be used to get you to the sanctuary.
What should I wear?
While some like to dress in their “Sunday best,” many more subscribe to the idea that one should “come as you are.” However you are dressed, we encourage you to be comfortable!
What are your worship services like?
The 10:00 am Worship Service in the Main Sanctuary is a traditional yet informal service with well-known hymns and beautiful organ music, this service offers an intimate setting for scriptural teaching and a message from the pastor every Sunday. Special services, such as the Easter Sunrise Service, are held in our historic Irish Meetinghouse located at the corner of 113 and Elephant Rd.
Is there a Sunday School hour?
Children’s Sunday school is available after the Children’s sermon during the 10:00 service. Adult Education is available at many different times during the week. Please look under our Growth menu and pick the type of Adult Education classes you are looking for.
What about the kids?
Children are welcome to sit with parents during worship and will be dismissed after the Children’s Sermon. Learn more about Sunday mornings for children under our Growth menu.
